fter lunch, head to the iconic Dharamshala Cricket Stadium (HPCA Stadium). Surrounded by snow-laden peaks of the Dhauladhar range, it is considered one of the world’s most stunning cricket grounds. Spend time enjoying the views, taking photos, and experiencing the beauty of this open-air ground set in nature.
Evening:
End your day at Naddi View Point, a peaceful spot offering wide-angle views of the Dhauladhar mountains and Kangra valley. The sunset from here is breathtaking — perfect for couples, families and photography lovers. Sit, relax and enjoy the cool winds as the sky turns golden.
Return to McLeod Ganj at night for dinner, Tibetan food, and street shopping.
Morning:
Begin your journey with a visit to the peaceful Dalai Lama Temple. The calm atmosphere, prayer flags and Tibetan chants make it a soothing experience. Walk around the temple complex and explore nearby Tibetan shops and cafés in McLeod Ganj. After this, head towards the historic Bhagsu Nag Temple followed by a short, refreshing walk to Bhagsu Waterfall, where you can relax and enjoy the mountain breeze.
Noon:
Next, visit the Norbulingka Institute, a centre dedicated to preserving Tibetan art and culture. Its peaceful gardens, prayer wheels, museum, workshops and artisan studios display wood carving, painting, thangka art and traditional sculptures. This place offers a true cultural experience along with great café spots.
From here, drive to the scenic Tea Gardens. Walk between green slopes, take photographs, and enjoy fresh mountain air with beautiful valley views. Many visitors taste local tea or buy packaged organic tea as souvenirs.
Evening:
End your trip at Triund View Point, a scenic destination offering majestic views of the Himalayas without needing a long trek. Sit at small tea stalls, enjoy maggi or chai with Himalayan air, and click stunning sunset photos. It’s a relaxing way to close your Dharamshala journey.
